University of Naples Federico II, Naples Italy
I am an accomplished researcher and academic specializing in pharmaceutical and food chemistry,
with over five years of experience in nutraceutical development, functional food ingredients,
and sustainable health solutions. I currently serve as an Assistant Professor at the University
of Management and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan, and as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Xi’an
International University, China, where I lead academic initiatives, deliver lectures,
mentor early-career researchers, and contribute to international collaborations and curriculum
development.
Previously, I completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in the Laboratory of Nutraceutical
Products under the supervision of Professor Maria Daglia at the University of Naples Federico II,
Italy. During this tenure, I contributed to high-impact publications and multidisciplinary projects
focusing on bioactive compounds and their applications in health and sustainability. I remain actively
affiliated with the University of Naples Federico II as a collaborator, continuing to engage in advanced
studies in natural products and food waste valorization.
My research is driven by a passion for exploring the health-promoting potential of food bioactives through both
preclinical and clinical investigations. I place a particular emphasis on the valorization of agri-food by-products,
employing innovative techniques to extract bioactive compounds with applications in sustainable health and disease
prevention.
I hold a PhD in Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods from the University of Naples Federico II, where my doctoral
research focused on the nutraceutical potential of Prunus domestica L. My academic and research journey is supported by
over 70 peer-reviewed publications and several prestigious accolades, including the MEDWELL Award for Best PhD Thesis
and the Dra. Mariola Macías Award for excellence in natural product research.
In addition to research and teaching, I serve on the editorial boards of leading journals in my field and actively
contribute to the advancement of nutraceutical science. I am committed to fostering innovation, mentorship, and global
collaboration in the development of functional foods and sustainable health strategies.
Let’s connect to explore collaborative opportunities or discuss ways to advance science-driven solutions for better
health and sustainability.
