Bridging Conference Research, Academic Curricula, and Peer-Reviewed Publishing: The Vision of the 4th International Conference on Advanced STEAM Education
Linking Academic Learning with Conference Research
Presentations should not be the conclusion of an international academic conference. Classrooms, labs, research initiatives, curricula, and scholarly publications all benefit from it.
Our goal at The University of Faisalabad is to link academic learning and research with conference-based knowledge. This relationship continues to be essential to our academic strategy as we get ready for the 4th International Conference on Advanced STEAM Education (ICASE-2026).
Researchers, scholars, students, and professionals from various fields and nations come together for ICASE-2026, which is organized by TUF in partnership with Green International University and the University of Rawalpindi. The conference offers a chance to share research, talk about new concepts, and investigate how STEAM education may address current societal and academic issues.
Interaction with researchers and subject matter experts can offer undergraduate and graduate students viewpoints that enhance classroom instruction and motivate them to delve deeper into research.
From Conference Presentation to Scholarly Publication
A strong research culture requires more than presenting findings. Research must also be documented, critically reviewed, and made available to the wider academic community.
This is why the research and publication component of ICASE-2026 is particularly important.
Special Issue of Innovations in STEAM: Research and Education
Selected papers presented at the 4th International Conference on Advanced STEAM Education (ICASE-2026) will be considered for publication in a Special Issue of Innovations in STEAM: Research and Education, the HEC “Y” Category Journal of The University of Faisalabad.
Selected conference papers submitted up to 31 December 2026 will be published free of cost.
This provides researchers with an opportunity to take their conference research beyond presentation and submit it for consideration through the journal’s scholarly publication process.
The Special Issue will create a research connection between the conference and the university’s academic publishing activities, allowing selected interdisciplinary work presented at ICASE-2026 to reach a wider scholarly audience.
Why This Opportunity Matters
- Research Publication: Selected papers presented at ICASE-2026 will be considered for the Special Issue of Innovations in STEAM: Research and Education.
- Peer-Reviewed Scholarship: Selected submissions will go through the journal’s established peer-review process before publication.
- No Publication Charges: Selected conference papers submitted up to 31 December 2026 and accepted for publication after due review process will be published in the Special Issue of Innovations in STEAM: Research and Education, a HEC recognized ‘Y’ Category journal.
- Interdisciplinary Research: The Special Issue provides a platform for research connected with the diverse STEAM themes addressed at the conference.
Researchers planning to present at ICASE-2026 can therefore consider the conference not only as a platform for presenting their findings, but also as an opportunity to take their research towards scholarly publication.
Building on the ICASE Journey
The 4th International Conference on Advanced STEAM Education builds on the experience and academic engagement of previous editions.
- ICASE 2023: Established the conference platform for discussion around STEAM education and emerging academic challenges.
- ICASE 2024: Broadened the conference programme with specialized areas including artificial intelligence, visual analytics, IoT, and smart health systems.
- ICASE 2025: Further strengthened interdisciplinary engagement across technology, social sciences, and the arts.
- ICASE-2026: Places greater emphasis on student research, interdisciplinary exchange, and the connection between conference research and scholarly publication, under the theme “STEAM for Future-Ready Societies.”
Creating Opportunities for Student Researchers
Student participation is an important part of ICASE-2026. The conference provides opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students to present their research, engage with academics, and receive feedback on their ideas.
Key opportunities include:
- Student Poster Competitions: Providing students with a platform to present research findings and early-stage research.
- Interdisciplinary Research Tracks: Encouraging students and researchers from different disciplines to exchange ideas and explore collaborative research.
- Academic Interaction: Giving young researchers opportunities to engage directly with experienced academics and subject experts.
- Publication Pathway: Enabling selected conference research to be considered for publication in the Special Issue of Innovations in STEAM: Research and Education.
These opportunities can help students understand research as an ongoing process, from developing an idea and presenting findings to receiving feedback and preparing work for scholarly publication.
